“Every p320 negligent discharge turns out to be a trigger pull. Is there any evidence it is defective? None. Is it bad design to have a light, short trigger in a duty/carry gun? I think so.”

I’ve carried Glock 17, 19,27, and 26 as duty weapons over the years, and have trained many people on both those and SIG products. I’ve never seen a Glock malfunction unrelated to crummy ammo or a limp wrist.

There is a phrase that was common a decade or so ago in the shooting world, “Glock Leg”. When the Glock was relatively new, and people hadn’t fully transitioned to kydex holsters, there were a bunch of negligent glock discharges into the the leg when holstering. There is a famous video of a glock going of in a holster as the owner bends over.

Glock is fundamentally safer than the 320 because it has a “worse” trigger. Longer, harder pull. Maybe the dingus helps too. But if the trigger gets pulled, it will still go off, even in a holster.
