Wasserman Schultz’s decision to run in one of a dwindling number of majority-Black districts after Republicans redrew her former seat has deeply divided colleagues.
Florida’s primary next week will test whether Debbie Wasserman Schultz can survive her latest fall from grace within the Democratic Party she’s served for decades.
Her run in the state’s 20th District has roiled the caucus: Wasserman Schultz, 59, is facing a crowded slate of challengers —several of them younger, several of them Washington outsiders — in an election cycle that has increasingly seen its voters oust longtime incumbents in favor of generational insurgents.

But she’s wholly unwelcome by the rest of the all-Black primary slate. Competitor Dale Holness tried to convince her she could keep her redrawn district blue by running there instead. But Wasserman Schultz refused.

the AA’s are so use to preferential/protected status treatment via DEI/ETC, that they expect they should be GIVEN a preferential/protected DEI/ETC Congressional district: no whites allowed ... [btw, sounds like the 59 black primary candidates will split the black vote into little bitty splinters, so maybe they look to their own behavior as the cause of their impending loss to a white female Jew.]
Dems love their pet blacks...until they become competitors.
A la Maxine.
It’s called white privilege 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Those black folks need someone like Ms Debbie to help them navigate the complex world we live in today.
Is Little Debbie campaigning ? Does she have a bottle of hot sauce in her purse?
She should go to a black church and declare that she is in no way tired.
Sadly, most of our representatives are addicted to power and very few step down gracefully after 1 or 2 terms.
There was nothing preventing Washington from running beyond his 2 terms yet he decided to step down. Since politicians today have no qualms running for office in perpetuity, we desperately need term limits. Also, I believe an amendment that outlaws political parties would serve the people and the republic.
Washington's words to Congress after he served 2 terms as President:
"Having now finished the work assigned me, I retire from the great theatre of action; and bidding an affectionate farewell to this august body, under whose orders I have so long acted, I here offer my commission, and take my leave of all the employments of public life.”
WShe could win, by splitting the Black vote. That would put the seat in play.
Indeed. She’s only 59, so she still has a good thirty years in the House ahead of her
PLEASE! PLEASE! PLEASE!
20th DistricT voters!
PLEASE send Debbie Whatshername Shitferbrains packing!
