I have a couple of what I would consider really high priced drugs. Normally I would get them through a local pharmacy, & I have a no-copay thing, but when I found out that the particular drugs were NOT on no-copay, I then could get them through one of the VA pharmacies at a reasonable price. If not for the VA plan, I’d be broke in no time.

“I picked a hell of a time to quit doing drugs”

I picked an excellent time to quit doing carbs.

Unfortunately I do not receive government subsidies.

You don’t need subsidies for that site, to my knowledge.

My wife and I rarely use the insurance cost for a drug. Sure, the excess money you spend toward the drug and copays helps meet your annual deductible, but why? Let your operations or medical procedures meet that for you and get the GoodRX or store price without insurance. Walmart, Kroger, Sams Club, and Costco all have some super cheap prices on a number of prescriptions, when you ask.

I even get AbbVie coupons from that maker’s site that radically undercut even the GoodRX or Costco price. I just have to sign up each year, yet, I have insurance.

I dropped my insurance drug coverage. I don’t really take any drugs unless I’m actually sick with an infection or something. And then the good rx or simple care price was around the same price as my insurance price. Sometimes even cheaper.

Just checked Synthroid didn’t drop.

Go to trumprx.gov

My wife used to get her Sythroid from Canada and it’s half of what she paid for it there. You just print out the coupon and give it to the pharmacy.

I just ran in to a scam pharmacies run. An old generic drug I needed was usual about $5 to $8 dollars for 30 pills. A powerful NSAID that only works for my occasional tennis elbow. I called and got a prescription. When I went to pick it up it was $85 for 15 pills. It was because they put it in a new “gelcap.” What the heck. No, just give me the old pill.

Another drug.... SAME EXACT PILL SAME EXACT PACKAGE. They are made in India and sold in 10 pack blister packages. India. 80 cents per 10 pack. Here, about 50 times as much. There are much more in on the markup scams then just the pharmacy companies.

Restore markets in health care. Watch prices fall precipitously.

Repeat all over the insurance kleptoverse.

The FDA shouldn’t approve any drug unless a 90 day supply can be purchased for $100 or less without insurance.

That will end research for the development of new drugs for very serious but niche diseases (e.g. ALS, MS).

No, you don't. From a quick search:

TrumpRx.gov is available to any U.S. resident with a valid prescription who pays entirely out-of-pocket in cash, regardless of whether they have private insurance. However, the platform is strictly prohibited for patients enrolled in government-funded health programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, TRICARE, and the VA healthcare system.

Cash-Pay Requirement: Users must agree to pay the full discounted price without seeking reimbursement from their insurance, meaning the purchase does not count toward insurance deductibles or out-of-pocket maximums. While privately insured individuals can technically use the site, they forfeit deductible credit and may find their standard insurance co-pays are lower than the TrumpRx cash price.

Trump’s price is about 40 percent more than goodrx

It doesn’t help that giant CVS also owns Cigna health insurance.

🚨 WOW! For the first time in HISTORY, US prescription drug prices have fallen for 7 months STRAIGHT

This is huge!

The “experts” are getting absolutely decimated. 🔥

EVERY president in recent memory promised to be the one to finally lower pharma costs.

47 is the ONLY ONE getting it done for affordability 🇺🇸
