My wife and I rarely use the insurance cost for a drug. Sure, the excess money you spend toward the drug and copays helps meet your annual deductible, but why? Let your operations or medical procedures meet that for you and get the GoodRX or store price without insurance. Walmart, Kroger, Sams Club, and Costco all have some super cheap prices on a number of prescriptions, when you ask.
I even get AbbVie coupons from that maker’s site that radically undercut even the GoodRX or Costco price. I just have to sign up each year, yet, I have insurance.
I dropped my insurance drug coverage. I don’t really take any drugs unless I’m actually sick with an infection or something. And then the good rx or simple care price was around the same price as my insurance price. Sometimes even cheaper.
