Health and Science Trump signs executive order calling for fewer childhood vaccines, falsely linking shots to autism

President Donald Trump on Monday signed an executive order backing fewer routine vaccines for kids, calling to whittle down the number of recommended childhood shots to 11 while falsely tying immunizations to autism.

The order builds on the Trump administration’s efforts to reshape the childhood shot schedule under Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a longtime vaccine skeptic.

“This updated recommendation finally aligns the United States with other advanced and developed nations around the world,” Trump said during a briefing on Monday. “More importantly, it aligns us with common sense and knowledge.”

He also called for splitting the combination measles, mumps and rubella, or MMR, vaccine into three separate single-disease shots.

“The MMR we want to have separate visits, separate times. The vaccine being broken into three separate single doses and vaccines being administered in separate visits,” Trump said.

The order also directs the Department of Justice to investigate where states are in violation of exemptions for childhood vaccine mandates, including parental authority and disability accommodations as well as religious and medical reasons.

It’s not the first time the administration has taken aim at the MMR vaccine and the related MMRV shot, which adds the varicella vaccine to inoculate against chickenpox. Last year, a key vaccine advisory panel to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention also weakened recommendations for the MMRV shot for children under age 4.

For the last half century the Left has been blaming CO2 for catastrophic global warming, even though that isn’t even happening, much less being caused by CO2. Even so, they have spent trillions of dollars unsuccessfully eliminating CO2. Their reasoning is thatCO2 has gone up, and so have temperatures so CO2 must be the cause.

Well, what’s goose is good for the gander. Over the same time period autism has gone from being nearly non existent to being found in nearly every classroom. Meanwhile, childhood vaccines have gone from nearly zero to a count in the dozens. There is just as much proof that Autism is caused by vaccines as catastrophic warming is caused by CO2.

The new schedule makes sense. The only objection I have is to the inclusion of the Chicken Pox and HPV vaccines as being recommended for all children.

HPV is sexually transmitted it is not a disease one gets because you got coughed on. That means I don’t see it as a potential public health hazard making it necessary to have children immunized against it. As for the Chicken Pox vaccine I think research will some day show the rising rate of Shingles can be linked to it.

As for the autism connection. There is research showing a connection to the MMR and a small subset of the population. I don’t recall the specific demographics but it was rather narrow. Still splitting the shots is a good idea.

‘while falsely tying‘
Journalists used to treat issues which are disputed as such, using language serving to acknowledge the different opinions. Now they just say “this is false “ when there is no way to prove it one way or the other. People think talcum powder causes cervical cancer. journalists don’t have any business being the referee of debates like that. Lots of psychologists think there has been a dramatic rise in autism. I don’t agree but I’m not going to categorically say their opinion is false. For a journalist, the truth is defined as “ the opposite of anything Trump says”

Well, something is certainly responsible for the rise in autism. It certainly cannot hurt ito slow down the administration of the vccines bein dispensed, and the parent having a say in the vaccines their children receive is also an important responsibility that needs to rest with the parent.

Yes, thank you Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and you Mr. President Donald John Trump.

The google results come up with articles that say there is no connection between MMR VACCINES and autism. But the previous vaccine schedule had 17 recommended vaccinations, not just MMR. Most have not been evaluated for a connection’ to autism, so it is not accurate to say there is definitely no connection.

I don’t believe Trump outlawed any vaccines. He just isn’t recommending several, and spreading the MMR series out over a longer period of time. I heard there are about 72 shots a human gets by the time they are 16. 72!!!

not only did they expand the spectrum they pay parents with autistic kid ss disability, $1100 is what my tenant gets. I think the numbers are squed because of fraud. I know autism is real and increasing... just don’t think we have accurate numbers.

Back in the 1980s, working in the world’s top NICU and research hospital, I and the other nurses were convinced SIDs was caused by vaccines, and thus later, autism. An Australian study linked autism to vaccines and was quickly covered up. It’s all politics and evil to it’s core. They absolutely know.

Agree!

Forgot about the incentives for autism fraud!
Thanks for putting those into the discussion.
All that makes understanding the true numbers even more difficult.

I believe Autism has a very strong link to vaccines. I think they are giving too much too fast with combo vaccines. I'm 69 this month and grew up in the late 1950's-mid 1970's. Autism is very much real it was around back when I was in grade school. In the 7th & 8th grade I attended a school which taught kids with moderate to extreme physical, neurological, blind, deaf, MD, Polio, and yes Autism.

I knew every kid with it in a county region the school served that had Autism. The number was actually low I'm guessing no more than 8 percent of the students had it. That may sound high but consider the fact it covered six counties and the entire students numbered maybe 400. The school was built originally to handle the Polio epidemic. I was there for what would by the time I was about 33 manifest itself as a movement disorder affecting my Inner Ear/Brain sensory processing disorder.

Back in the day as many people call it doctors were family cradle to grave family doctors. They understood even as far back as the 1930's kids had a strong immune system. That is one reason for example why many kids who had Polio were never diagnosed because their immune system withstood it. My late wife was one of the ones they never knew had it until it came back on her in 1985 at 35 years old.

Shots back then were not near as frequent, started later in childhood, and obviously was a far wiser policy. By the time I was 19 I was fixing to deploy to Rio, Brazil and afterward the MED Sea had shots for my shots which my mature body handled fine.

Someone needs to explain to me why Infants need 5 shots within a week and 30 before one year old, especially for things that should be damn near impossible for said infant to get.

Same idiots that say they need thirty shots also claim that 103-104 degree fevers are okay in said infants.

They don’t need it all at once. The reason docs push that is because they figure parents won’t bother to make all the appointments necessary if they spread it out so they cram in as many as possible when they can.

There’s no good reason, other than shipping military families to foreign countries, to not space out vaccinations nor to let families talk to their doctors about how to best schedule necessary vaccinations. This bundling of vaccinations is nice for Big Pharma but not necessarily for small children’s systems.
