You might ask what the problem is, since the United States celebrates freedom of religion. The problem with Islam is that it not only promotes a religion, but also its followers often support political Islam and its spread worldwide, particularly sharia law.

Islam is not protected by the 1st Amendment - it is a competing legal system to the Constitution. Islam does not recognize the Constitution’s authority, supplanting its own instead.
The problem is that islam isn't a religion. It is an intolerant, nihilistic, misogynistic, bloodthirsty, inbred cult. It is societal cancer, and the single greatest threat to Western Civilization that has ever existed.
One of those States has 155 too many.
The line that gets crossed here isn’t freedom of religion. It’s our blind and passive acceptance of an authoritarian government masquerading as a ‘religion’. It is subversive, seeks a secondary set of laws, acts counter to our customs, way of life, freedoms, etc. Certain parts of Europe demonstrate the impact quite painfully today.
I think the answer for those Muslims living here is:
1. Prohibition of Sharia law in governance and judicial at any level of U.S. government. No exceptions, including if the persons to be governed are all Muslims.
2. Treating any attempt to enforce Sharia on any U.S. citizen treated as a felony hate crime with mandatory prison time.
3. Treat any act of sedition, terrorism, or violent crime in the name of, or serving the perceived requirements of sharia as a felony, domestic terrorism. Deportation should follow prison.
4. Prohibit immigration from countries that openly practice or encourage terrorism or dominance over so-called ‘non-believers’.

The “ problem” with islam is that it denies freedom of religion ( or nonreligion) to everyone else. Even to the point of advocating death or the others submitting to servitude.
Are people so dumb or gullible they do not recognize that?
