Sophie Cunningham's outspoken defense of women's sports has sparked a series of angry protests that show no sign of slowing down.
The Indiana Fever star's recent comments about 'protecting young girls' from transgender athletes in sports has created huge controversy on both sides of the arguments, leading to a series of anti-trans rallies outside WNBA arenas.
The Daily Mail can reveal that two further protests are being planned in the coming days, starting on Friday night outside the Portland Fire's Moda Center, where the Fever are due to play at 10pm EST.
On Sunday, Indiana travels to Minnesota to face the Lynx, where another demonstration has been slated ahead of the 1pm EST tip-off.
The planned rallies come just days after the issue exploded in Seattle, when a calm protest outside the arena was followed by a courtside meltdown from a Storm co-owner which led to her being suspended for five games by the team.
After two young girls brought in signs pledging their support for Cunningham and the 'protect women's sports' movement, Celeste Keaton allowed her temper to boil over when she confronted them and allegedly told them they were '****ing insane'.

Photo-shopped fake, fyi.
I’m not a hundred percent sure. It’s a name some FReepers throw out there whenever I point out that there are no Trannies in The WNBA.
I hope it rips the whole league apart.
All this crap is to generate clicks.
No men should not play in women’s sports. But the entry test would be easy: Do the have the “equipment” of a man? Then its a man.
But, are there any men trying to play in the WNBA? When there are, I guess this stuff might make a difference. But right now the WNBA should shrug their shoulders and say, “When it happens, that is the test.”
And people making a big deal out of it are just doing it for the attention.
I think that’s a little AI generated.
If the WNBA allowed men to play, they would make up half the league.
The article is a call to arms for crossdressers to get out and “do something” wink, wink.
I predict someone is going be killed or maimed at one of these games this year. Prolly right before mid terms. They want normies dead.
Plus CC is woke and she's a true believer in the agenda while SC is not. Also, it's good strategy for her post WNBA career—she's not going to have to worry about finding a job. She'll make enough $$$ through advertising.
“... they would make up half the league...”
Unless the league puts an allowed number on the amount of male players for each team, it would be more than half to be competitive in the league. And it will also give the NBA an opportunity to place players under contract and use them for the practice squad of both leagues adding to their available players list. And thinking about it, just because they call themselve women at that point, why go through all the problems of trying to look like one? They will kill the WNBA chances of success and allow the NBA another minor league in the states.

The entire High Point University squad could be stars in the WNBA. A mediocre 6’10” player would be Wilt Chamberlain.
Anyone who believes that should not be allowed to vote.
A decent HS team would blow out a WNBA team.
Id like to see an elite male player join the WNBA and dominate the league, just out of spite.
Daily Mail blaming defenders of women for “ furious demonstrations.” They really are despicable.
Yup, ol’ Bethany Griner. no relation to the tranny playing in the women basketball games named Britany Griner.
Indiana Fever coach says she “isn’t educated enough from a scientific standpoint” to say if men should be able to play women’s sports. These people are bat$#it insane. pic.twitter.com/j5uCIPT2X2— Clay Travis (@ClayTravis) August 1, 2026
