The cliffs along the California coast are very dangerous.

There have been all kinds of warnings about staying out of the ocean in So Cal, b/c of hurricanes off of the coast kicking up huge waves - however:
“Heart-stopping moment little boy is battered by huge waves and dragged out to sea off California”
And:
“Swimmers suddenly dragged out to sea by powerful waves off world famous California pier”

The family should be sent a bill for the rescue.

Kids have been foolishly jumping from cliffs, bridges, quarry walls and other high places for many, many years - since way before Billy Joe McAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge. Its stupid and dangerous but I doubt it will end in any of our lifetimes.
