If this war drags on for years and deteriorates into a boots-on-the-ground conflict, I will agree with you. I’m not there yet.
I do understand the concern.
If I see one single case where US ground troops raid some random Iranian town and get blown to bits by IEDs, I’ll be through defending Trump.
As it stands, I believe something good is happening: the Iranian regime is lashing out at all its neighbors - and the world is finally starting to get a clear picture - that there is one single obstacle to peace in the ME, and it’s NOT Israel - it’s Iran.
Sometimes I hate being right.
I remember Sen. Aiken saying about the late stages of Vietnam: “We should declare victory and get out” which is actually what Nixon tried to do but the Dem majority cut off funding to appease their communist base. For Iran, Declare Victory and Get Out Now, no one will remember the dismal place by the November Midterms.
We have that version of ied now via drones. That's this generations upgrade and again, the US is lagging behind.
War creates innovation and tech. The US typically just throws money at a problem, aka expensive bomb or missile.
