Americans want it as Department of Defense.
No more fighting wars for globalists.
Department of Defense means we’ll wait until attacked and then send a strongly worded letter and maybe billions of $ in tribute.
Department of War means we will proactively defend America.
And I want the 2 billion (estimate) put to better use. Like better pay for our troops.
IMO:
War = protect in advance in hopes of no, or minimal, harm to Citizens.
Defense = after an offense, playing catch up.
Americans want it as Department of Defense.
I'm not a globalist but I am retired military. I've actually wanted this change for decades now. I just never thought it would ever happen. Department of War just has a more assertive tone about it.

The Department of Defense pissed away billions on woke shit and climate change. Trump/Hegseth are doing the right thing for America. It has nothing to do with globalists.

That would make me a globalist. My Dad fought in multiple wars. I’ve been in one or two, depending on if you divide between Iraq & Afghanistan or combine them into one. Two of my kids were in combat.
“Defense” sounds like something that repels an invasion at our shores. “War” recognizes that the best defense is often an offense. We fought WW2 as a WAR, not claiming we were only defending ourselves and would accept a partial solution.
We fought the COLD WAR - which included hot wars in Korea & Vietnam and multiple uses of force around the world. My Dad and I were part of that, too.
Did we accomplish everything we should have in Iraq & Afghanistan? No - but a whole bunch of terrorists died there, and 9/11 was not repeated.
You call taking the fight to our enemies “globalism”.
