Trump, not Iran, is the world’s greatest danger. He’s a one-man weapon of mass destruction: As the bombing starts again, it’s clear the president has dragged the US into a limitless fiasco – and the world into an economic quagmire
The Guardian ^

Feckless and clueless, Donald Trump is lost in Iran, unable to find a way out of the disastrous war he started. Once again, the US military is pummelling the country and, increasingly, its civilian infrastructure. As before, this unlawful bludgeoning strengthens the resistance of a hardline regime that cares little for its people’s suffering. How often have Trump and Pete Hegseth, the Pentagon’s wildling lord of bones, hailed a bogus victory? The president claimed this week to be “winning big”. No one believes him. Even as it counts the vast human and economic cost of his Persian folly, a watching world scoffs at US impotence.

Ain’t it amazin’?
The EU castoffs in the UK, so busy being critical of Trump, while they sit back and let the third world turn their “empire” into ash.
The Brit media is no better than ours.

Let’s compare Ukraine’s position now with where you were posting early on they’d be in short order. Or what you thought Russia’s losses might be.

Why don’t you list the dead North Koreans and other non-Russian fighters for Russia?

Do feel free to take a cruise on a Russian or Russia aligned ship in the Sea of Azov to gather current data. They’ve had by their own admission, or video evidence, what, over 100 disabled in the last couple weeks?

The many videos of foreigners visiting the U.S. for the world cup and praising just about everything in this country as being better than what they have back home, says a completely different story from what the garbage article above says. It’s people like Trump that make America great, and makes the rest of the world envious of what we have and what we do.

All the countries in the world need their own Trumps. Oh, what a wonderful world it would be. ;-)

That’s not true. I did some research: While public support for out and out welfare and such has declined to a sort of even split (well, it should have declined more than that!), the overall emphasis seems to be more on proper integration into the Polish economy and immigration system than anything else.

Hell, put Ukie refugees to work building many millions of drones to sell to the Saudis (who have a staggering potential of gamers* to fly them.) The program and similar ideas can be called “MOPRA!” (Make Our Poland Rich Again)

*The things one can learn — I just stumbled on that yesterday: Some 65% of the population, over 23 million people in Saudi, are gamers!

We still sell weapons to the Ukies (mainly through the Euros), we still assist with intel...

No, we are not sending so many Patriot missiles / systems, but, demand is rather high elsewhere, right now, and our defense industries are pathetically weak at such ramp-ups, which the Trump Administration is trying to address, some would accuse “only because thar’s gold in them there hills!”. Unfortunately and regardless, the institutional problems and roadblocks are truly severe.

The truth of it though, is that the main problem Ukraine has is the weakness of the Euros, most of whom who demonstrate superbly the socialist pattern of spending more money and getting worse results...

One other thing: While I do not think our stocks of weapons across the board are so low as the Russian and Iranian agit-prop types would try to assert, it IS true that the Middle East being a big drain was surely seen by the Trump Administration early on as a factor in almost certainly needing to deal with Iran. With limited resources, plus pushback from Trump’s base on the costs, choices had and have to be made. I hardly call this “turning our back” on Ukraine, tho’ I do agree Trump’s style was, shall we say, unproductive, and overall the approach to Ukraine somewhat unimaginative.

On the good side of it, Iran has clearly been whacked back as a supplier to and ally of Russia.

I also agree it is ridiculous to say the US has already failed in regard to Iran.

Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard gave a different assessment.

We went through all of this with Iraq. After a while it’s natural to be skeptical about the boy who cries wolf.

Without the US firehose of funding, Ukraine seems to be getting a handle on its military corruption, and a combination of long-term systems familiarity now, a more efficient procurement system for weapons which are more readily useful, and having Europe countries fund and work more closely with Ukraine have all seemed to yield strong effects.
