Compare Iran to Vietnam.
Iran is 5 times bigger. And we lost 57,000 lives in Vietnam.
Can we afford to lose 250,000 to 300,000 lives in Iran?
Nope.
“Iran is 5 times bigger. And we lost 57,000 lives in Vietnam.

There is no Ho Chi Minh trail for Iran.

Iraq is larger than Vietnam and we lost less than 10% there so if you extrapolate from 1.32 to 5x we should only lose about ten in Iran.
Dude there is a huge difference between rice paddies and thick vegetation of Vietnam and mostly desert like Iran.
Besides Vietnam war was fought with one hand tied behind the back. Trump & Hegseth don’t think like LBJ & Mcnamara.
You can’t do linear extrapolation while analyzing complex situations. Believe it or not, Vietnam was 60 years ago. They were not going to build a nuclear weapon and promise to use it. Warfare is completely different nowadays.
Pitiful exhibition of linear reasoning....almost at a 5th grade level. Perfect for a modern Harvard grad.
