“A lot of things are if you don’t understand some of the intricacies and plays.”

True. But some th8ngs can be enjoyed with out knowing all the intricacies.

In American football you can see the battles and momentum shifts without knowing the intricacies.

Baseball has a simpler ‘flow’.

“but if you remember your first beer or cup of coffee, both taste better today I’ll bet. That’s due to famiarity”

Two of my best tasting beer experiences were when I was a teen.

The first was when a buddy and I stayed after closing to wax the grocery store floors. We nested several cardboard boxes, put a six-pack in then filled it with ice and salt.

The second was when we camped on the beach in a VW van and watched the sun come up while waiting on a surfboard for a wave with a can of beer. Yum!

I thought that soccer existed in America solely to keep kids out of church on Sundays. Until this World Cup, I wasn’t aware that adult played it.

LOL...

Spectators were cruelly punished with a 30 minute over time!

Did you know, in Britain up to the mid-1970s, it was forbidden to play soccer games on Sunday?

In our town all sports were forbidden on Sunday at least until the ‘80s. No shopping, either. Is you needed meds, everyone had the home phone number of the druggist.

I’m surprised that when the NFL started and played games on Sundays it didn’t cause that big of a stir.

He actually shook his hand with Trump, even without any grimaces.
By the way, he never played.
Some kind of bench sitter.

I suspect also a lot of the boos were meant for the FIFA Chairman, who right now is less popular than explosive diarrhea.

If one pays attention to soccer, one would see the battles and momentum shifts there, as well as in American football, basketball, or even hockey.

Surely you jest. Soccer is played on many days, besides Sundays.

And yes, adults play it.

And some adults watch other adults play it, and bring their kids to watch adults play. Not usually on Sundays, but sometimes.

The youth of Gen X expected, after graduating from the expensive Universities, that life would be handed to them on a silver platter. Many went through school with their term papers and tests done for them by paid entrepreneurs. When they graduated, life was hard and they blamed the conservative capitalists for it. They figured that if the Market Culture wouldn’t give life’s ticket, the Marxists would. They believed that success in life was like paying for the test taken for them.

Enzo Fernandez’s red card was the result of stepping on the Spain player’s foot and causing him to fall. This is the same cause of Balogun’s red card during the USA against Belguim game.

Spain mastered Argentina even with Masse. Argentina never had one kick to Spain’s goal the entire game. What an achievement!

Yes. I was routing for Spain.

Argentina plays dirty.
The referees favor Argentina because FIFA president Gianni Infantino likes Messi.
The Argie's behavior during and especially after this match was low class. They are sore losers.

Congratulations to Spain!

I couldn’t agree more. Several of the Argentine players were not playing with good sportsmanship. Abominable. That’s not what the WC is about.
