Remember when a surprise Will Ferrell cameo was an automatic home run?
Monday night's Home Run Derby suggested those days may be long gone.
Netflix's "marquee" event featured not just the unpopular Elle Duncan, but Ferrell, whose routine quickly became one of the night's most dreaded moments at Citizens Bank.
Add Netflix's audio and crashing issues to the mix, and you've got two very skippable hours of television.

While I liked Robin Williams in the few serious roles he played, in my opinion he stunk as a comic. I am not a fan of the ADD shtick type of comedy.
To each his own, I guess. I thought he was brilliant. And he had Joe Biden pegged back in 2009.
I’ve never trusted Will Ferrell’s beady little eyes.
Ferrell was okay in Elf but that’s the only thing i’ve been able to tolerate him in.
I never thought he was funny either, and won't watch any of his movies. He's got a TV series titled The Hawk coming soon, which he is executive producer of, and I won't be watching that. I just checked his filmography on IMDb and besides this show, he's got 14 more projects coming out that he is the producer of.
I hated Elf and him in it. My wife got it for her disabled sister on DVD for Christmas. She watched it once and gave it to me to sell on eBay.
Never been a fan of that cross-eyed inbred-looking moron.
I'm glad you posted this, because I was thinking of posting the same thing about Robin Williams. As a stand-up comedian, he sucked. You couldn't understand what he was talking about. But he played some good roles in the movies.
Yeh, he looks like a liberal woman in her 50s/60s.
I only thought he was funny in Elf, Old School, Talledega Nights, Step Brothers, Ron Burgandy, Zoolander, and SNL, but other than that I don’t know.
He’s generally one dimensional, and isn’t funny. There had to be a others, comedian or nit, that would have been a better choice.

Ferrell supported Barack Obama in 2012 and met him and Michelle in 2011.
In Feb 2013, Ferrell endorsed Eric Garcetti for mayor of Los Angeles.
In 2018, Ferrell canvassed on behalf of Ga Democrats.
Days before election day in 2024, Ferrell appeared in a
Kamala Harris advertisement, encouraging voter turnout.
“To each his own, I guess. I thought he was brilliant. “
Yeah Robin was a rare talent. He got some of it from Jonathan Winters who was another master at improv comedy. Jonathan Winters’ “the stick” routine on Jack Paar in 1964 was a classic.

That's the way I feel about Adam Sandler movies and Will Ferrel is a close second in that dept..
You mean Will Farrell left his Harry Carey impersonation at home?
“Hey, everybody…!”
Ditto. I think he is nasty.
I never liked Will Ferrell.
He’s an idiot and he is NOT funny, not to mention creepy.
I’ve heard him called one of the most over-rated “celebrities” there is...he must have a good agent.
Thank you, we try. It was awsome!
I agree except for Elf where massively acting like he was that character actually worked.
