Just last month, reports indicated that a developer proposed constructing a nine-story residential building on the site, which would require demolishing the church.

How coincidentally convenient.

Lot easier, cheaper & safer to start a fire, than a tornado or flood, I guess.

The church closed in 2022. It was part of the Pittsburgh Presbytery of PCUSA. That’s an alarm there. Heresy from its walls. The church I attend now was PCUSA until 1980, when it defected and saved itself. Now it’s the church of Gov. McMaster, Rep. Wilson, and Superintendent of Education Weaver, and a place of refuge for me after the local SBC church began to go haywire over two members of the Felkel clan (which I am one via a marriage in my mother’s sister side of the family) when one questioned Arminian moves and the other voted against supporting Arminian changes. We both took the fall. Mother doesn’t believe that I was the subject of her sister’s grandson and his wife’s family, but it was the case. (That SBC church sings choral material from the CBF.)
