I remember the recall for my 1997 Explorer. The cruise control used a diaphragm sensor on the brake master cylinder where the sensor wire was hot at all times. If the diaphragm ruptured you could get a fire, which could happen even if the vehicle was off (such as if the diaphragm material degraded). There were many fires from it. The “fix” was a new wiring harness with a fuse embedded in it.
No, hit that ramp as fast as you can and do a Dukes of Hazzard. No reports of them catching fire while airborne.
