I don’t think anybody disagrees with that. But no matter how nuts he is he can’t defy the laws of nature.
In this age of the internet, I am gobsmacked that people still think this is a conspiracy theory. I have to learn to just shake my head and walk on. You can’t change the mind of someone who doesn’t want to believe. We have had plenty of instances of this the last 6-7 years.
Chemically combined aluminum is one of the more common elements in earth's crust.
Say his numbers are BS. What if it’s 25% of what he says? Hell, I don’t want ANY spraying. I don’t want 1%. I don’t want govts doing it. I don’t want billionaires doing it. We don’t have any say in this and that just isn’t right.
And our roofs, roads, etc. would be covered in inches of aluminum as well, wouldn’t they, if this amount was dropped in just one year’s time?
The aluminum was in very thin strips about a quarter inch wide and about eight inches long, as I recall. You could find about 20 or 30 strips per acre, as I recall. They were bright and metallic, and stood out.
They were from a secret government program. They were testing if the aluminum strips were effective in blocking, blinding, or confusing enemy radar used to track and shoot down our airplanes. The program was based out of Duluth, Minnesota, about 60 miles away from the family farm. It lasted a couple of months as I recall.
So, yes, in at least one experimental program, aluminum was dropped out of the sky on our farm. I don’t think I have any of the “chaff” as I think it is called from 60 years ago.
Fun to think it did happen, and I observed the results.
It had no effect on our farm that I could discern.
Maybe this is one of the basis for all the “geoengineering” conspiracy theories. A lot of smart people believe in them.
We had almost no contrails until after WWII. There is a simple reason for that. We had almost no jet aircraft until after WWII.
Jet aircraft, because of their engines and the altitude they operate at, produce many more contrails than piston engine aircraft do.
I this age of the internet, I’m gobsmacked you can believe the numbers.
The top 6” of soil of an acre, on average, weight about 2,000,000 pounds. Because topsoil is typically about 5% aluminum by weight, that’s 100,000 pounds of aluminum. TO increase the aluminum content to 25% you would need to add 400,000 pounds per acre. To get to 50% you would need to add 900,000 pounds per acre. AND JUST IN THE LAST YEAR according to his claim in the video.
And in the video he’s pointing to his “garden” which is a SMALL fraction of his far, and he says the garden alone is just one acre.
For this to be true - for his aluminum content to go up like that over, let’s say, a 100 acre farm, would require something like 100,000,000 pounds of aluminum ON JUST HIS FARM IN JUST THE LAST YEAR.
Of course it does. You suggest that 40,000,000,000 pounds of aluminum has been added to our soil - this just for the United States alone. That could not have happened even if we had planes capable of taking on that kind of load for a thousand years. To get what you suggest in the United States *alone* would be equal 80 million separate flights dumping at least 500 pounds of aluminum each flight. Do you actually believe this is in the realm of possibility?

I think you’re low a few orders of magnitude, actually.
Feldspar is a mineral. Quartz is the most common.
You are misrepresenting what he said. He never ONCE shared “How much per ton of soil or how many pounds” period. He only stated that it was up 5% to 10% more than last year. That is most likely “parts per gram” more than last year because THAT is how they measure it. So your math and point is completely insignificant and is misrepresented. You are putting words in his mouth he did not say...
Also, to be clear, in this particular case it’s not 25% of what he said or 1% of what he said, and it’s not even a fraction of a percent of what he said. No one is spraying aluminum. Spraying aluminum (in the form of feldspar or similar) would be a complete waste of time. And you’ve completely ignored the rest of the clues I already gave that this video is complete crap. Let me recap just a little:
- he points to a sun high in the south and sunflowers facing east and says, “they stopped tracking the sun.” Well, any real farmer who isn’t lying to you knows that IMMATURE sunflowers track the sun, but MATURE sunflowers fix facing east and stop tracking the sun. So, you tell me, is he that clueless of a farmer, or is he INTENTIONALLY misleading you. In this age of the internet, look it up - don’t take my word for it.
-giving him the benefit of the doubt I assume he *MEANS* that the concentration of BIOAVAILABLE aluminum has increased in his soil. You don’t ADD Aluminum to your soil to make that happen - you let your pH drop and aluminum in feldspar and similar mineral leaches out and gets absorbed by plants. But you know what happens then? Chlorosis. The plants bleach. And that’s *the* mechanism which makes elevated aluminum ION in your soil toxic to plants. Show me one place in that video where one plant is bleached. And, again, a REAL farmer knows this. So you tell me - is this a clueless farmer, or is he INTENTIONALLY misleading you?
Look up aluminum ion in the soil and chlorosis. Don’t take my word for it.
No - he CLEARLY said “aluminum is up 5 time to ten times even what it was last year” at the 1:20 mark.
And what about him lying about the sunflowers?

Yes he did... But he did not say one thing about “how much per ton or how many pounds per ton” or any of that. You invented those amounts all on your own.
No I used my brain to say, gee, if a typical soil sample is 5% aluminum, and he said his aluminum is up 5x-10x, in just the last year, that means it’s now 25%-50%. And if 5% means 5 pounds of aluminum per 100 pounds of soil then 50% means 50 pounds of aluminum per 100 pounds of soil.
And if you don’t understand that, then I’m sorry.
Yeah - that’s mg/L or parts per million - they are the same thing.
That’s not “parts per gram” which literally doesn’t mean anything.
And, again to the point, that ONLY measures *bioavailable* aluminum for soil quality - which I have commented on repeatedly so far.
The ONLY way *bioavailable* aluminum goes up that high is if the soil pH went WAY down.
A REAL farmer who isn’t lying to you adds lime to his farm.
But, once again, as I have stated repeatedly, the symptom of high *bioavailable* aluminum is CHLOROSIS - which is bleaching of the plant. Not one bleaches plant in his video.
And what about him lying to you about his mature sunflowers?
Why are you defending these lies?
First of all we are only discussing “Exchangeable” Aluminum. Not “ALL” aluminum is exchangeable and doesn’t even count. A low concentration of exchangeable Aluminum is 5 parts per million. A very high concentration is 250 parts per MILLION. Not 5%... So if he claims ten times more this is still only 50 PARTS PER MILLION. Not “pounds per ton”.
