I haven't seen much discussion here about this race...

The Democrat they are running against is David Jolly, he is a former Republican Congressman from Floria turned Democrat, he’s picked the daughter of former Governor and Senator Bob Graham as his running mate.
He’s going to be formidable because as a former Republican he will sound middle of the road, so will his running mate.
The Republican will win so long as all the other Republicans don’t burn down the party if they don’t get nomination and unify behind whoever it is.
I’m sorry, but not everybody can say no to data centers. People are so stupid. You want all this technology but yet you won’t allow it in your city? Quite frankly, I’d cut the Internet off completely in any city that said no to data centers. Idiots would change their tune real quick.

I’m voting for Collins but FORMER DEMOCRAT Donalds is probably unbeatable since Trump big-footed the primary.
I voted for Trump three times but I don’t let him do my thinking for me. I vote for a candidate regardless of who does or doesn’t endorse him.
I was thinking Jay Collins, Lt Gov because he’s with DeSantis.

I haven’t decided yet, but I like Donalds a lot more, after watching him grill Tim Walz during the fraud hearings. He tore right into the carpetbagging, lying, scammer.
Exactly, the Democrats have lost the Governorship in Floria for the last 32 years, 4 straight 2 term Republicans have won.
Jolly will sound like a moderate Republican while running.
The one thing that will be interesting to watch, Florida has a Constitutional Amendment on the Ballot that will substantially reduce property taxes for Florida homeowners, it will be interesting to see how Democrats especially Jolly deal with this issue.
Current polls show well over 60% of the public wants the property tax amendment to pass, 60% is required to pass constitutional amendments in Florida.
It seems the rift between DeSantis and Donalds is that in 2024 Donalds endorsed Trump and not DeSantis. So no policy issues. Nothing to worry about. I am probably leaning toward Donalds, but Collins looks good too.

Florida, as usual, got ahead of the curve and passed a law this year dealing with data centers’ electricity and water usage such that local ratepayers will not be affected.
Love my state.
I don’t live in Florida, but if I did, I’d vote for the candidate that can work with the Florida State Legislature like DeSantis has been able to do, to get his policies and laws passed that keep Florida safe and prosperous.
