MIDLAND, Texas (KOSA) - A woman was arrested after a man was hit and run over by a vehicle in Midland.
According to the affidavit, the incident happened July 7, near 10000 W. Highway 80.
Deputies were called about a pedestrian accident, where dispatch told a deputy that the man had been run over by his girlfriend and was being driven to the hospital, according to the affidavit.
A deputy found a black Nissan in the H‑E‑B parking lot off of Midkiff Road. The deputy found a man in the back seat and had blood coming from his mouth and ear. He also told the deputy he could not feel his legs.
The affidavit says the man told deputies him and the driver were arguing, he got out of the car, and the driver then backed up and ran him over.
The driver was identified as Emani Makamae Calhoun.
Calhoun first told deputies the man was hit near the side of the car. But then later she told deputies the man was behind the car when she backed up and ran over him.
The affidavit states she admitted multiple times that she hit him with the car, but said she did not mean to.
Investigators reviewed surveillance video from the man’s workplace, and the video shows the man walking behind the car as it reverses, hits him , and he falls to the ground, according to the document.
The affidavit says the vehicle then backs up and runs over both of the man’s legs.
Calhoun was arrested on a charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, a first-degree felony, and the deadly weapon listed in the complaint is a motor vehicle.
Calhoun was taken to Midland County Detention Center.

I interacted with one of the reporters one time, trying to get him to say the words “valedictorian” and “salutatorian” to introduce said honorees. Even wrote out the pronunciation on his cards.
It came out “valued torpian” and “salad darian”.
What was so funny is this idiot was completely full of himself and pompous.
