Historical Accuracy?
Isn’t it fiction?
The Trojan War actually happened.
But if someone boasts about historical accuracy and makes a black woman "Helen of Troy" and casts a tiny demented woman as a man of ANY sort...then they deserve to be berated.
As they would if they had cast Elliot Page (5'1", 100 pounds) as William Wallace in a remake of Braveheart...
If you are fine with the race swapping and Anne Boleyn as a black woman? Have at it. But I find it very offensive to be told white people need to disappear - and enjoy it!

Well, I would call it more mythologised than pure fictional.
We know that Troy existed and there were raids by Mycenean pirates, which is the kernel of the Illiad.
Odysseus journey most likely in some sense happened in Bronze age Eastern Mediterranean.
The actors should look like Eastern Mediterranean folk, so while many could be Brownn or even dark brown Egyptian, a black skinned Dinka or a pale skinned redheaded Irishman would both be incongruous and detract from the story.
