You Can OFFICIALLY Keep Windows 10 Until 2027

The transcript from the video would be too long to post here, but the gist of the video is about how Microsoft is extending the ESU program until Oct 2027, and maybe even into 2028.

I thought maybe folks here would want to know because it makes getting new hardware to support Windows 11 unnecessary as long your IT device still runs good and has Windows 10, like mine. I was going to put together a system to dual boot W11 and Linux but I'm putting that off for now.

That’s why I’ve done a lot of what I’ve done, just to do it. I’m getting to a point now where I want to keep things as simple as possible. Just getting tired in my old age.

The old laptop I did it on is sitting a shelf.

I did install Windows 11 on an “unsupported” Dell though with a $9.95 key and have been using it for over a year. It updates fine and everything works great. I even managed to get all the drivers installed. There is the TPM boogeyman they use to discourage it, but TPM mainly looks like an enterprise administration tool to me and doesn’t have much to do with ordinary security.

Would love to, given Microshaft’s business model and behavior.

In fact, glad you’re here, I can use your help. Which Linux distro supports programming for Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Omron, and Do-More BRX PLCs?
