For example, there’s a pro-hamass anti-Israel house on my way to the gym. I eventually had a conversation with the owner, who said, “As a Jew I don’t support Israel!”
To which I replied, “As a Jew and a volunteer in the IDF I can tell you your signs are lies!”
Separately, my lesbian niece disclaimed the existence of G-d at her Bat Mitzvah to the polite applause of the audience.

On the other hand, Israel is the #1 most pro-America country on the planet. So which group of Jews you’re talking about matters!
Somewhere I have a picture of a giant Mural of Trump painted on the side of a 4 story building in Jerusalem.
They like Trump more than Netanyahu, and I don’t believe I’m over exaggerating with that statement.
Israel is as a nation aligned with us on just about everything.
But they have a very narrow (Israel only and regional) world view. I hate this statement: we have a “bigger picture.”
That causes for slightly different approaches.
Same desired end state, but different ways of getting there.
I don’t think Israel really factors things like China, the political effect of support for this war in the US because of oil prices, the need to try to keep some of our euro allies on board (think Diego Garcia), the consequences for the King Abdullah (on our team but under horrendous pressure) into their equation the same way we do.
Yes, I have also drawn the same conclusion. Most Jews are ultra left on the social issues. That puts them in the Democrats camp even if that party has been seriously screwing Israel over ever since Obama in his first term.
Of course the Dems are also the party of a pandering to the Muslims and this:

They are basically voting for a party that under the same umbrella has people that see Hamas as their freedom fighters.
I’m smart enough to know that one mans freedom fighter is another mans terrorist, but at some point you have to put on a jersey and realize the team you playing on is kicking the ball in a different direction.
Most of us sort of instinctually know this, but others like Jane Fonda didn’t. Many still don’t today. I think for many it’s all just academic, not real. They do not realize that these idiologies and supporting them have real physical consequences.
That said, the average American Jew is basically voting for a party that neither supports the state of Israel and under the same party banner has people that celebrate attacks that kill Jews.
What I said a long time ago and got me in trouble, even though factually true, there were Jews that supported Hitler. No kidding, early on. Back then, it was the fact that Hitler really did bring Germany out of their economic woes. Big factories started producing again, jobs became available...
But you know, “Mein Kampf” had already been published, and you should consider being able to take your next breath, a greater priority than a job/profits, or today some leftist social issue.
