Considering the way people have slathered this crap on themselves and their kids since the 1990s, logic tells me this global rise shouldn't be happening. Things don't add up so they blame "misinformation." Sounds a lot like "safe and effective" to me.

I read an article written by someone I actually know that said sunscreen began being pushed by dermatologists so they could make more money by making people scared of nature.
It obviously worked. Someone told me to put sunscreen on the other day before a kayak trek and were shocked when I refused.

I started wearing sunscreen on my face at age 30, and my only regret 30+ years later is I didn’t use it on the backs of my hands as well.
I’ve never used sunscreen, just let my skin tan as it will. No skin cancer yet, despite living in Arizona and having worked outdoors for much of my life. I do wish I had worn sunglasses a lot more when I was young, though, since I had to have cataract surgery in both eyes in my early 50s.
