A new poll suggests that more than half of Democrats don’t like the U.S. or even want to live here, and it does seem like we’ve reached a fork in the road.
s my late father used to say, we have more polls in this land than gas stations. Yes, it feels that way when everyone and his brother is publishing a story based on a poll. What did we do before polls? I don’t know, but maybe we found time to do other things, like talking to people with whom we disagreed.
The latest poll going around is about Democrats and the U.S. It seems, according to the poll, that 55% of them just don’t like the U.S. or prefer to live elsewhere. Let’s check this out via Power Line:
It is interesting that there is very little difference based on income or ethnicity. The huge difference is political: Democrats want to live somewhere else, Republicans don’t. I find the Democrats’ offer acceptable and would like to see if there is a way to satisfy their desire.
Seriously, I do think that the U.S. may be in the process of breaking up. When Democrats say they would like to live in a different country, I think it means they want a country of their own–a socialist country where there are 256 genders, no rich people, no free speech, no religion. Someday, I think they may get it. Because there is no basis for common citizenship between us, who love our country and want to preserve it, and them, who hate our country and want to destroy it.
Yes, we may be on the brink of that moment when things just break up. It could be a friendship gone bad. Or a business relationship gone sour.

When you diet entirely on the-glass-is-half-empty negativity is it a surprise that you end up unhappy in all things? In a down moment after dealing with the numerous liberals in my life, I made a list of good things. It was long...really long. For example, I have never had to hide from enemy soldiers or spent a (non-camping) night wet and miserable. I have never spent even a day hungry. Those are just samples. As I said, the list was long. But all of those things were true because I lived in the United States, which is protected by two oceans and two non-functional-enough-to-be-a-danger neighbors. Had I lived almost anywhere else some aspect of that list would have gone away. The closest other countries in physical lifestyle have cultures that are, to my eyes, toxic in one way or another.
On the negative side of my list...dealing with liberals. Very toxic.

More than half the team members, and coaches, both teams, during the Anthem, the tribute to the flag, they were talking, bouncing the ball, mumbling prayers (Muslim recitations, one imagines).
On the announcement that it’s the country’s 250 anniversary, the applause was a smattering
The booing for the president was thunderous. The elected president
Hatred for this country on display at the biggest event
Go live somewhere else.
What a mess
Sounds like an idea that would work IF we could be sure of what we were trading for would be better than what we have. If you were trasding for a person from another country, that would need a lot of checking out beforehand.
This says more about polls than actual attitudes. The Democrats don’t want to live somewhere else. The poll result is simply an immature tantrum. You can almost imagine yourself in the shoes of the polltaker asking the questions. You get some short-haired, 300 lb. lesbian or some 70 year old, 80 lb. greasy-haired white liberal hippie who hasn’t bathed in a month on the phone and simply say the name “Trump.” And you get the Pavlovian rage response. After holding the phone away from your ear for 10 minutes while they rage, you get them to give a response that they are leaving the country once their Go Fund Me raises enough money to allow them to do so since, you see, they are between jobs ever since the non-profit they were working for lost its USAID contract.
Of we could be divided easily geographically, sure. But unfortunately, we can’t be.

Quebec and Ontario are one or two days drive from most of the country and would offer the excitement of the European Style governmental subjugation these individuals desire. On the other hand, it might be better to put an ocean between us and them!
But they could just walk across the border and they would be back. Better if they have to swim.
