Collins initially supported the SAVE America Act in February. But when Sen. Graham tried to get the measure passed by using an amendment to bundle it into a budget reconciliation/immigration funding package, she voted against it. The issue was that it was reportedly combined with other controversial elements in the broader package.
If Collins maintains her support for the bill, the remaining holdouts include Sens. Murkowski, Tillis, and McConnell.

“But if GOP leadership won’t take the bold step of suspending the Senate filibuster, then it doesn’t matter if Collins is on board or not.”
Precisely.
OTOH maybe it does matter, in a way. A way that hurts Collins’ bid for re-election.
See post 15.
I honestly dont care what she does if she wins, as long as she passes the SAVE ACT she can stand on her head for all I care
Collins is in a close race with a rabid socialist —so now she gets “religion” on the SAVE act in order to garner votes. So long as she votes for it, her motives are moot.
The problem is we might not keep the house come 1/3/27 and need the votes now.
Vance need at get his ass down to the Senate Chamber and take the chair.
She can have an epiphany and become the RINO with a heart of gold.

I suspect they will be rewarded by the Deep State, some way, some how, and not necessarily monetarily, as they are both very wealthy.
Simply by not looking in to their past profits.
Correction. The net worth of Senator Tillis is modest by Senator standards, only about 8 million dollars.
Senator McConnell is reported to have a net worth of 66 Million dollars.
Neither one is in the ball park of Pelosi!
Yeah, but until then:
Maybe with Collins flipping, Murky will flip, too, because…Gurl Power!
She’s seen the Platner numbers and worries she may not get to remain in office until death, like the good dem that she is. Selling one’s soul to retain power is a time tested tradition.
Maine has RCV.
Ask her if she supports ending the use of RCV and RCV-enabled electronic voting machines...
For all of Trump’s virtues, calling your nemesis’ wife Coco Chao and then putting Tillis on full blast for being a total loser, was not helpful to the cause. While it would be nice if Tillis and Mitch just did the right thing because, human nature and Washington D.C. in particular, does not work that way. As has been said here many times, oftentimes Trump engages in self sabotaging behaviors that unfortunately impact the greater goal.
The only needle that could move those three is found in prisons.
It doesn’t matter if the 60 filibuster vote stays in place or if it goes to the 50 filibuster comes in play. One more holdout must turn. Linda, Mitch, or Tom. Most likely Mitch and Tom will not. Linda might if Thune gives her a sweet deal. If not, it is DEAD!!!!
“””Vance need at get his ass down to the Senate Chamber and take the chair.”””
As Senate President, I am wondering what powers Vance would have if he sat in the chair. Can you expand on what he could do?
Thune is hiding behind the rat parliamentarian so he won’t use reconciliation
Kabuki theater. It's more than them. They ain't running again, so they can be the fall guys. The only reason many/most other GOP Senators are voting "Yes" because they know it won't pass and those Senators will get the blame, not them
If (and when) they need more NO votes, some other Senators will all of a sudden come out against it and also vote no.
We could have a poll on who is the most obnoxious of these three, and it would be a tie!
