I can identify with that guy. We called them Flak Jackets. I still have two pieces of shrapnel that I dug out of mine. I gave the rest away over the years. Evil-looking little chunks of steel. And sharp.
This is the dirty laundry of the IDF.
You have to personally go buy, or have donated to you, top kit. Otherwise, the gear pretty much sucks.
I know a guy who seems to have bought all the add ons for his M4, and it would!’t surprise me that he also bought the M4!
Ceramic vests are not general issue.
