” the integrity of the game”
Oh my sides....
> A judge’s decision… <
Why should a judge be involved at all? Sorsby’s suspension seems like purely internal matter. Did the conference make the error of sending the problem to arbitration?
The judicial system in the US needs to be nuked and re-invented.
When you legalize sports gambling and pay players, this is the result.
Division I, (or FBS), college football seems to be overrun with grifters that are killing the game. I used to be an NFL fan, but they’ve ruined that game, so I became more of an FBS fan. It appears that the lower divisions are truer versions of the game, for now.
I don’t really expect this to happen but my hope is that now the major universities will decide to be a part of the process that would ultimately have a committee where the colleges can at least have *some* say in their own destiny without judicial or government interference.
As one poster said, if college football can kick an undefeated team out of the CFP (Florida St.), for having an injured quarterback, why can’t they kick out a team whose quarterback placed 40+ bets on his own team to win?
At least until a black-robed tyrant rules otherwise.
I do like the "regular season" condition. We can't let our ethics interfere with bowl games.
Interesting to see ESPN and the Utah AD both refer to college football as an “industry”.
Pete Rose was not available for comment.....
Different judge but same county that gave us the “Affluenza” defense for the guy that killed four people.
Still waiting for the FBI to get to the NCAAF...
