Quentin Tarantino Slams Hollywood as a ‘Flavorless Sausage Factory’ Where ‘Miscast’ Actors, ‘Audience Pandering or Stupid S— Torpedos Every New Movie’
Variety ^ | 4 June 2026 | Zach Sharf

Quentin Tarantino is not a fan of the majority of movies coming out of Hollywood these days. Writing for Sight & Sound magazine, the Oscar winner revealed that “it’s almost impossible” for him these days to watch a new movie and not pick it “to death.”

“Flaws, implausibilities, audience pandering, miscast performers or just plain stupid shit usually torpedoes every new movie coming out of the flavorless sausage factory that used to call itself Hollywood,” the director explained. “These days, the entire concept of what is a movie is more inclined to inspire contempt in me than generosity. Which is fair enough, because by comparison the movies of the last six years make the 80s seem like the 30s.”

“I’ve seen movies I liked since then – ‘West Side Story’ (2021); ‘Horizon: An American Saga’ Chapter 1 and 2 (both 2024), a few others, but nothing that really held me in its grip and swept me away to the magical land of enjoyment that I use to visit regularly and was the reason I loved movies above all other artforms. These days I’d rather read a book,” Tarantino added.

A director who makes movies with the heart and soul of a porn and violence infatuated 13 year old, has no moral standing to judge anyone else in Hollywood.

He may be right in some ways but the message is greatly depreciated by who is carrying it.

He ain’t wrong.

Whether you like him and/or his products or not, he makes a sound point. And that should be the focus of the discussion.

Trying to change the conversation to disparaging the speaker is petty.

Wait till The Odyssey bombs. Will send a real message.

It should be obvious by now that Hollywood doesn't give a damn how well a movie does. Nor does it care how well their products are received by the general populace. They are purely a propaganda mouthpiece and are most likely funded by the communist fraud machine that is currently sucking away half of the US economy.

Supposedly, the DEI requirements to qualify for an Oscar are part of the reason Nolan has race-swapped and sex-swapped so many characters. Even after all the outrage by movie-goers BEFORE the movie is even made, even after the objection by the Greek people, they will still make this ridiculous version of the story because destroying the cultural history of the West (aka white people) is the absolute priority. Baal wants his tribute, and he will have it.

"What’s a book?"

It's how I spend many happy hours each afternoon, and before bed, reading from various hardback, paperback, and Kindle books. I don't do audio books.

"The only Quintin Tarantino movie I really enjoyed was that “Inglorious” one with Brad Pitt."

That may be the only one of his movies that I ever watched.

"Reservoir Dogs is also a great movie."

I never watched the movie, but watched the 3 season TV series on Hulu of the same name, which told the story of 4 Native-American teenagers in Oklahoma.

Last movie I saw at the theater was Deadpool & Wolverine with my youngest son. That was in 2024. My youngest son is 55, and has always been a Marvel fan...and Marvel comic book collector.

I agree! And I hope I didn’t come across as disparaging him. I actually agree with him. I consider him cancel-proof, so he can come out and tell the truth.

In all fairness, Tarantino watched hundreds of “Z-rated” movies, and cherry picked them to find scenes and snippets of brilliance, which he duplicated and put in his own movies. Often to good effect.

For him, the purpose of film making is entertainment, made increasingly important in our age of “Save the Cat!: The Last Book on Screenwriting You’ll Ever Need”, and the even more insidious “AI Slop”, with P.C. casting by such vermin as woke Kathleen Kennedy.

Tarantino needs to launch a film making school, to slowly extricate Hollywood from its corporate folly.

Amazon cancelled the new Stargate because....

From Giant Freakin Robot:
Amazon has canceled its upcoming new Stargate series because... and this is not a joke...
...they thought fans of Stargate would like it, and they want a different audience.

Under no circumstances allow Amazon to produce a new Stargate series.

Amazon kills “Stargate” show made by original producers, may hand it to someone who would “give it a fresh new perspective”

Amazon cancelled Stargate because Jeff Bezos is a Goa’uld.
