Rather than entanglement, a permanent U.S. presence could serve as strategic peacekeeping.
By preventing October 7th style attacks, it could act as deterrent, and restrain the worst excesses on ALL sides of the conflict, including from Israel.

Just, no! Permanent targets. As soon as Hamas has rearmed, they will again chunk missiles at Israel. It is what they do.

Rather than entanglement, a permanent U.S. presence could serve as strategic peacekeeping. The Marine barracks in Beirut was an undeniable deterrent to Hezbollah.
And who can forget the deterrent of Khobar Towers in Saudi Arabia?
Neocons can forget, that's who.

A competent government and military leadership would have prevented the “first” October 7th, let alone the next one.
What the author is saying is that a U.S. military presence is needed because Israel is unwilling or unable to defend its own borders. No, thanks.

Rather than geographically positioning ourselves at a place that in all probability invites nuclear attack, I suggest we offer passports to every Israeli citizen who agrees to renounce their Israeli citizenship and move to the United States. At that time, we should withdraw all support for Israel.
We end a friction point of conflict without offering ourselves as target for nuclear exchange, and do so free of any taint of anti-Semitism.
Everybody wins.

No. No. No. Israel is more than capable of defending itself from degenerate, inbred, retard Musloids who can't even manufacture a freakin' pencil.
What happened on Oct 7, 2024 was either a massive intelligence failure on its part or a deliberate failure by nefarious actors in its government.
Not our circus.

Israel could have easily prevented 10/7 without US assistance.
It chose not to do that.
Why?

Interestingly enough, when we put these bases in Israel, I envision armed camps or outposts, these are not a base with housing, dependents, infrastructure... It’s nothing like that. Israel is a warzone.
