International totals hover around $63 million for the opening, insufficient to guarantee profitability without exceptional word-of-mouth.
With theaters demanding their cut, breaking even requires the film to approach half a billion worldwide—a tall order given current trajectories.

Right - they should have forced her out over a decade ago...it was clear this was going to be a disaster fairly early on in her tenure. The things she said in the initial interview where Lucas was passing the reins to her and she pledged things would remain the same were not true and pretty clear she had no intention of preserving the heritage of the franchise.
Wouldn’t make any difference. Lucas proved he didn’t have any idea what to do starting with “Return of the Jedi”, and drove the point home with “Phantom Menace” years later.

I’ve seen them on TV so maybe they were edited...but not much different than the Christopher Lee movies of the same era.
It’s a great movie, actually. Anti-woke.
Jon Favreau has open contempt for Kennedy. There’s a behind the scenes discussion about the making of the movie on Disney+. They had a round table deal.
Favreau has the worst poker face I’ve ever seen. They were polite. But Every time Kennedy open her pie hole he looked at her with utter disgust and hatred. It’s actually hilarious.
I do see Disney paid a bunch of influencers and review bombers to hype the movie.
He was good as the bad guy in the second Equalizer movie.
