I remember a long time ago I saw a documentary about guys that were trying to breed wolves to have the attitude of dogs but without the dog look (specifically the forehead, but a few other things). And they just couldn’t do it. They could breed for passive traits and dog attitude, but eventually the wolf forehead would give way to the dog. Turns out you can’t breed a dog that’s not a dog.
Trying to replicate the sun’s reaction without it being... well another sun... maybe you just can’t do that.

Per the “Fusion Uncertainty Principle”, Cold Fusion is eerily paired with the California High Speed Rail project.
I was told when I graduated in 1976 as a Nuclear Engineer, that I had wasted my time studying fission reactors as "Fusion power" was no more than 25 years away. This was when the Russians were planning (not building) a tokamak test bed. Now retired 50 years later, I guess we've made progress as now viable "Fusion Power" is only 10 years away.
Just like global warming doom.
Fusion outside of a lab is impossible. It takes something the size of the sun to happen. Jupiter got close but didn’t have the mass.
