It’s nice when academic research proves what everybody already knew all along.
I disagree IN PART with this author albeit the MAIN PART and that is that I have been married twice and got myself painfully educated to the fact that IN THE COURTROOM the MAN is horribly abused to the point that he first begins to swearing that “I ain’t gonna do this again NO MATTER WHAT”. Then, men being men, I went out and did it AGAIN.
His facts about “education” i don’t disagree with except to say that THE REASON Educated people won’t marry is the same damn reason uneducated men won’t marry. Namely, courts are grossly favoring WOMEN! Nothing is going to change until MARRIAGE LAW changes and don’t hold your breath for that.

I have feeling that a lot of these people are going to be very disappointed later in life. They may be able to convince themselves now that not getting married and not having kids is what they want, but as they get older, they are going to realize how empty life is without a family and children.
good, no marriage and no kids = they die alone and take their genes with them.

Not sure my comment is all that relevant to this thread, but it is relevant as to the significance of marriage in general.
As a cynic, I always thought the folk pushing hardest for gay marriage were not the gays but divorce lawyers.
I am certainly in favor of liberals not propagating. Now if they would get spayed and neutered before they form potential breeding pairs.
