Time to also check into the $250 million the federal government gave Asheville, NC for Hurricane Helene relief. I saw a report only 8 homes have been repaired or reconstructed with this money. Most has been diverted to special projects of local politicians, not relief of citizens who were devastated by the storm. Asheville is the most liberal city in NC and its government is totally controlled by Democrats.
Given there is currently in NC a US Senate race, where the GOP candidate is running behind the Democrat prior governor, one would think the Trump administration would be making this spending of federal funds by a liberal Democrat city an issue. In addition the Dem ex Governor running for the Senate was governor when Helene happened. What is it about the Republicans continuous failure to capitalize on a public relations victory staring them in the face?
