You know what's ironic?
All the Canadians who didn't have kids to keep the environment pristine are now importing workers from countries where garbage is dumped directly into rivers.
Coquitlam, British Columbia: Indian immigrant washes clothes in the river, using harmful detergents. Locals shout out to him that the detergent will affect the salmon and other wildlife.
Woman 1: We don't put soap in the river! There's salmon. There's all sorts of fish. This is a protected area! Please no laundry detergent in this area!
Woman 2: You're poisoning the fish! We're calling the police!
Woman 1: We don't do that here!
Indian man: [Stares in confusion]
This kind of scene is everywhere in Canada now. Crowds of southeast Asian migrants are polluting and poaching the land that Canadians have worked hard to keep pristine for generations.

The drain from MY home washing machine goes into my septic tank.
The drains from YOUR, and THEIR, home washing machines goes into the municipal wastewater treatment plant.

Sewage plant, where sodium lauryl sulfate gets decomposed in a matter of days producing non-harmful products. Imagine all washing/dishwashing machines dumping their outflows directly into the environment, without water treatment plants….

You appear to be claiming that household washing machines drain directly into the nearest natural body of water (river, for instance) without first passing through a municipal wastewater treatment plant. Is that what you are claiming?

You are entirely missing the point of this story.
Thank you ... yes, I was responding to #20. I suppose there are some places in the world where household drains discharge, via an untreated sewer, into the nearest river but that has to be vanishingly rare in the civilized (and semi-civilized) parts of North America.

In the 90s a city councilman where I live was caught with a sewer line that ran from his home on the river directly into the river that runs through the city.
He’s lucky he didn’t go to prison.
The fines were astronomical.
It goes to a municipal water treatment plant where its components are recycled for habitation-safe uses, or it goes into a septic tank in the yard, which gets treated periodically. It does not go directly into natural streams; and if it does, most places have penalties for that, and laws restricting how waste water may be disposed of.

They also know nothing about Garbage Day they drive out to a field , wooded area or river and dump their garbage , they have no clue what a garbage truck is

I watched a black guy parked directly in front of the store with a trash can no more than 15 feet away throw 2 plastic bottles out of his car into the parking lot.

I used to work for a company where my winter job was picking trash in various shopping centers. Welfare women, white or black would change the kid’s diapers in the parking lot then drop the diaper on the pavement ... along with any other trash in the car. Its not a black thing, its a low-life people thing. I does, however, keep people employed picking up after the slobs, and occasionally the findings include cash - some weeks were great, taking in over $200 - melting snow piles were often treasure piles.
I witnessed some Indians/Pakis pull up their vehicle and dump garbage right in front of a Walmart in Jacksonville, FL. This was years ago. It’s even worse now.
