I really don't know how to feel about this one.
I'm 100% totally anti-theft and I think stealing needs to be dealt with harshly. But maybe not THIS harshly.
D'Mari Jy'Quan Patterson, 20, was arrested Monday and accused of snapping at the trio (of young female thieves) while on-the-clock at a Taco Bell in West Palm Beach ...
One video obtained by police showed Patterson berating the woman who lingered near the soda fountain, CBS 12 reported. Police said they could hear a firearm being racked in the video mere seconds before the first round went off.
One woman was hit by a bullet and collapsed to the ground. Another suffered a graze wound, while the third bolted, the outlet reported.
Patterson, who tried to plead self defense, allegedly chased her down and fired another shot in her direction, which struck a window near the Taco Bell entrance.

Just practicing for the Restaurant Wars.
A very long time ago I worked at Taco Bell. How long ago? Every item was 19¢. Soda cups were counted since the cup cost just as much as the soda in it. The boss would occasionally weigh how much meat went into tacos—1 ounce, as I recall. Only put enough cheese to show some color.
Being in college I thought the boss was a jerk and he may have been, but now I realize how thin the margin was for the store to make money. The tills were expected to balance to the last cent. And we were expected to know how to ring up the orders and count change without computer assistance.
No one got shot at the stand in Isla Vista, California. Then again, none of the employees had punctuation marks as part of their name.
Correction. Franchise Wars.
“Before we get all worked up, we should find out if he was shooting to kill, or just to wound.”
I’ll go ahead and assume you’re joking....in case you’re not, I can assure you this little jitter bug is headed for the iron bar hotel......the only question is for how long.
His momma obviously thought he'd end up in prison when she named him.
D’Mari Jy’Quan Patterson.
His street name is lil ’ ’.
“Then again, none of the employees had punctuation marks as part of their name.”
Which is a primary reason I avoid fast food
......Chic Fil A being the exception because their employees are always polite. That and it’s unhealthy....especially when the employees are shootin’ up the joint.
The Scrabble Point Value of this name is in excess of 40 points -automatically guilty as charged.
I fricking hate thieves.
Especially the bold and brazen type that just dare you to do something about them.
Call the police? They will do nothing.
The courts are useless.
Shooting might be a bit much. But a beat down with mop? That feels about right.
You want to prevent that kind of thing? Start arresting and punishing thieves.
Or people will start taking corrective steps.
And the rest of the retail people will quietly support them. No matter what their names happen to be.
He plans to move to Wakanda soon.
“What jibberish language is that ?”
Dunno.
But “D’Mari Jy’Quan” seems a play on the word “marijuana”.
Nothing quite as cruel as putting your kid 100 yards behind the starting line at birth.
Might as well name him “Sue”.
So what? Ray Charles shot at a kid trying to steal from his music store.
“...shot at customers for putting soda into water cups”
I’d hate to see what he’d do if they were using the wrong fork at a fancy dinner.
Ray Charles? Well that’s eye opening!
Why can’t Ray Charles see his friends?
He’s married.
(Or: He’s dead.)
Well, this dummy is about to catch a whole lot of charges.....one of which may very well be attempted murder or manslaughter.
Florida is quite strict about pulling a gun and firing when severe bodily injury or fear for one’s life isn’t imanant.
IOW, IMO he’s in deep kaka.
What is it in black culture that seems to suggest that violence is the best solution to almost any problem? That is not a racist statement, but a legitimate question. Most often, if there is a brutal response to a rather minor issue, black culture seems to react with over-the-top responses. Why?
Yeah but it was a Fender Strat......I’m with Ray on that one. 😏
I wonder the same thing.
My opinion has always been it’s lack of upbringing.
As we all know, 2 parent households in the black community aren’t necessarily common.
And like I said earlier, blacks really do seem to have a lack of impulse control for some reason.
No wonder he’s so violent. He’s angry at his name.
