Is the music nearly over in Germany?

Exploring the report out of Germany that Muslims are driving the ban of music in schools.

Germany’s chancellor, Friedrich Merz, recently stated of President Trump and the United States, “An entire nation is being humiliated by the Iranian leadership, especially by these so-called Revolutionary Guards. And so I hope that this ends as quickly as possible.”

I myself have questioned Trump’s endgame strategy, insofar as Iran’s leadership, such as it is, is simply never going to negotiate in good faith.

Even if an agreement is reached with Iran in the wake of U.S.-Israel military action, whatever it may be, Iran will not honor it.

However, if its nuclear program is significantly disrupted and set back, and the rest of its military greatly degraded … and therefore its sponsorship of various terrorist groups greatly curtailed, we can legitimately call it a win and go on with life.

Once proud Germany, on the other hand, is embarrassing itself with great repetitiveness of late. Unwilling to take the side of the Americans against the world’s premier sponsor of terrorism, its leaders preside over a flagging military, sagging economy, ever-growing antisemitism, and French-like ennui.

Worse, the nation is allowing itself to be invaded by hordes of military-aged men from North Africa and the Middle East. And, like much of the rest of Western Europe, it is therefore getting summarily destroyed -- economically, culturally, and morally.

To wit: a recent report out of Germany, and a post on ‘X’ citing it, seemed to indicate that a Hamburg public school system may have banned music lessons because the growing population of Muslims there consider them “haram,” or forbidden.

“Factchecking” websites were quick to debunk the story.

For example, leadstories.com claimed that the German news report was really about a joint statement against intolerance and exclusion

Sadly agreed. The time to fight back passed a generation ago. Demographics dictate the future, and in Germany, that future is muslim. There will be no German culture in 50 years. Sitting here now with my morning coffee and letting that sink in... It’s sickening, and outrageous. The only hope would be if all the remaining German men went nuts again and mercilessly drove out all of the invaders, and that just won’t. be permitted.

A Minnesota high school is planning to build a prayer room with foot baths to accommodate Muslim students so it is a matter of time before the Muslims also seek to ban music programs. What is happening is chillingly like the novel “Submission” by French writer Michel Houellebecq where a Muslim is elected President of France.

> Islam at its core calls for a theocracy. <

And that’s something naive liberals just don’t get. They see Islam as just another religion, not much different from Lutheranism or Buddhism.

It’s a very dangerous misconception. Islam is a fanatical religious, political, and military movement - all wrapped into one. And the goal is conquest.

All the historical evidence is there. Yet it is ignored.

Liberals see Muslims as co-conspirators who also hate Jews.

Remember that progressives see everyone as groups of oppressed people. They see Muslims as an oppressed minority. That is why Progressive Women actually protest in defense of Muslims who molest females and children.

Macron: "What! Into that black pot of boiling water over there?"
Macron: "I like that earring. Perhaps we can work out something."

I believe this may be an old German dialect. I would never think to ban it, it is beautiful.

Once proud Germany...
When was that? 1939? 1941?

Many Germans referred to the nineteenth century as "die gute alte Zeit" (the good old days) when the country was prosperous and a leading contributor to Western culture. And then there was the post-WWII chancellorship of Konrad Adenauer, a great conservative, the architect of Germany's Economic Miracle that transformed the country into an economic powerhouse.

But the miracle began to fade after Adenauer's death in 1967 when Germany embraced socialism. By 1971, when I was living there, Muslims were already moving into the country as "guest workers."

I just checked a few sites. Music, musical instruments, and singing are all haram (prohibited) in Islam.

So Western Europeans might as well enjoy their music while they can.

- But Eastern Europeans are made of sterner stuff. So I’m guessing they’ll be playing their polka and csárdás music long into the future.

My wife, who is of German ancestry, makes a great one. She is from Wisconsin, and her grandparents came from Germany back in the 1880s. They taught their children/grandchildren how to make German meals.

---- "an old German dialect"

It's fake Danish-sort of. A new-ish pop group with an Instagram site that marks it as "INSTA START TO DREAM ❤️ #schlager #norfolk #lipsync #norwegian #scandinavia."

The "Schlager" refers to a German pop style, the mention of the "norwegian" and "scandinavia" markers suggest the group's general aim, and it is part AI-generated.

From their "English" YouTube:

"Oskar & Emma, a Swiss-based duo with deep roots in Norway and Iceland, create a unique sonic landscape through the power of digital music, bridging the ancient heritage of the North with the vibrant energy of the present.

We weave Old Norse soundscapes and archaic melodies into a tapestry of modern digital instrumentation and contemporary production. This is music for the soul, for the wanderers, and the seekers, a journey through misty forests and past ancient rune stones, leading straight into the heart of the modern age.

This reminds me of the story from ~20 years ago about the cafeteria in some German government building that had to stop serving schnitzel and bratwurst because just the sight of pork offended Muslim employees. Mind you, nobody was forcing those Muslims to eat or even handle the pork, just the existence of some custom contrary to their own was enough to make them cause a stir, and for castrated multiculturalist Germans to take up their cause.

Yes, it is - but it is sung in Norwegian🙂 „The Heart of Nature“

It’s modern Nordic folk music, as „Worldtraveler“ has been explaining so well 🙂

The good old days…it was, iirc, more the late 19th century until 1914, when European countries dominated the largest part of the globe.

Happy days for most Germans, who enjoyed a prosperity which hadn’t been seen since the mid-1500s. The cities boomed, industry expanded, German patents were valued all over the world, the universities were considered second to none etc. etc. Everything felt modern - electric light, the first automobiles, even the beginnings of aeronautics.

Good times. But this also could be said for Britain, France, even for Russia, if you compare it with the rule of Lenin and Stalin.

And, strangely, most Europeans were unaware of the growth of the mighty nation across the Atlantic…the world was still much less intertwined as it is today, though much more than a century before.
