A brewery in Wisconsin is offering free beer on the day President Trump is successfully killed. Aren't they literally offering gifts or compensation for the murder of a sitting US President? Shouldn't the FBI go speak with them?

Kirk, that “free” beer offer is about to cost you everything. Their “About Us” page explains all you need to know about these poor lost souls. Filled with hate and anger. Anger at God. Anger at Trump and the “evil” Republicans who have caused all of their woes.
It would be a real shame if their brewery and their houses burned down.

Kirk Bangstad arrested after ‘protest’ in downtown Minocqua

“The owner of Minocqua Brewing Company has been charged with harassment after he held what he called a “political protest” outside the offices of a Northwoods newspaper publisher.
Kirk Bangstad has been embroiled in a yearslong feud with leaders in Minocqua and Oneida County. In April, he lost the conditional use permit that allows him to operate the brewery’s Minocqua location. He nevertheless opened the business for the summer tourism season. State court records show about a dozen tickets related to the permit since mid-May.
Bangstad’s business sells “progressive beer” often themed around Democratic politicians, and he operates a liberal super PAC. He has long held that he is the victim of unfair or unconstitutional treatment as a result of his liberal politics in the largely conservative Northwoods county.
In recent years, as Bangstad has built an online following for his lengthy, pugilistic social media essays, Walker has been a frequent target. In 2023, Bangstad was found liable for defamation in a lawsuit filed by Walker. Among other findings, the jury found Bangstad defamed Walker when Bangstad falsely claimed in an online essay that Walker had left his own brother to die in a hunting accident in order to inherit the family business. The $750,000 judgment was believed to be the largest defamation penalty in state history; Bangstad ultimately paid about $50,000 of his own money in a settlement, while his insurance companies paid $530,000.
In October, Bangstad was charged with criminal defamation after he continued to post online about Walker. In February, Walker sued Bangstad again, alleging Bangstad invaded Walker’s privacy by using Walker’s face on Bangstad’s commercial products. That case is still pending.
In a video posted online Saturday evening, Bangstad said he was giving a “political speech” at a beer tasting Friday when Walker exited the building across the street from Minocqua Brewing Company. Bangstad said shortly after he spoke about how Walker is part of the conservative opposition to him, police arrested him and others who were present at the protest.
“I was held in a small cell for 24 hours,” Bangstad said in the video. “I felt claustrophobic, and my heart was palpitating. It’s like being locked in a closet. You can’t get out.”
In addition to the harassment charge, state records show Bangstad was also charged with disorderly conduct in the incident.”

Lawsuit alleges Minocqua Brewing Company owner uses super PAC donations for personal expenses

The lawsuit argues that Bangstad uses donations to the PAC to subsidize the business rather than the other way around.
In part, the lawsuit relies on publicly available data on expenditures by the Minocqua Brewing Company Super PAC submitted to the FEC.
The lawsuit alleges that two entities that received payments from the super PAC of more than $300,000 in the last two years are fronts for Bangstad’s personal expenses.
Effervescent Blue and NCPS received payments of $333,890 in 2023 and 2024. The entities are not registered businesses in Wisconsin and they do not have any storefront nor online footprint. According to federal data, Minocqua Brewing Company Super PAC is the only political group to pay either during the two-year period.
“Bangstad pays himself ‘consulting fees’ with MBC Super PAC funds,” the lawsuit claims. “However, in an attempt to hide how much he is paying himself for alleged ‘consulting’ work, Bangstad makes the payments to Effervescent Blue and NCPS.”
Bangstad did not respond to a request for comment. In an interview this month, he called questions about Effervescent Blue and NCPS “out of bounds” and accused WPR of being part of a Republican effort “to hurt my super PAC and hurt my activism.”
The lawsuit also looks at FEC disclosure forms dating back to 2021. It finds that Bangstad has increased payments from the super PAC to the two entities from a total of $56,335.74 in 2021 to a total of $202,826 in 2024. Total payments to the two entities since 2021, according to the lawsuit, are $460,549.74
The lawsuit also alleges other misuses of donors’ funds, including to pay for personal legal expenses and bankruptcy counseling. A 2024 payment disclosed to the FEC showed a $10,000 payment to a Madison-based bankruptcy attorney that “has never established an attorney-client relationship with the MBC Super PAC.”
