It’s not just me wondering...

OK, I’ve never been law enforcement, and perhaps you LE types can explain this.
A guy just charged the entrance to a ballroom with the President, Vice President and Cabinet in it, while carrying a shotgun, a pistol and some knives, and he apparently got off several shots, including hitting a Secret Service agent.
So here is my question:
How is this guy still alive?

And I’ll just throw these in because they are...weird.

And then there’s Markle...
Note the bit about how the pressure lifts on April 25.
Maybe the USSS needs to have a word with the Harkles...
First, keeping a shooter alive for questioning is preferable if at all possible.
Secondly, it appeared to be a “circular firing squad” situation, where he’s running through the middle of them - it’s very difficult to assess what is in the bullet’s path behind a moving target.
Tackling him makes perfect sense to me.. but what do I know.
This x post shows the guy’s antfa patches. We don’t need these people alive. We need kills.
“…while carrying a shotgun, a pistol and some knives, …”
NYPD used to have an Anti Crime squad the job of which was to remove guns from the streets. (Since disbanded on account of being “racist”.) these guys could spot armed miscreants simply by observing body language as the subject innocently walked down the street. Apparently this talent isn’t held by our “elite” law enforcement. A walking armory strolls up and no one the wiser.
He ran in with a RIFLE??????
Female SS agents. /ducking...
