The suspect in the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting has been identified as a California teacher.
Cole Tomas Allen, 31, from Torrance, California is the alleged shooter who opened fire at the Washington Hilton on Saturday night.
The educator from the Los Angeles area faces firearms and assault charges after he allegedly breached a security checkpoint and exchanged gunfire with law enforcement.
Police revealed the suspect had a number of weapons on him including a shotgun, handgun and multiple knives.
President Trump shared a stunning image shortly after the shooting, showing the suspect shirtless and lying face down on the carpet.
Law enforcement confirmed he was not struck by gunfire while being stopped but has since been taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Itis understood Allen may have been a guest at the Hilton hotel where the event was taking place.
Surveillance video shows the suspect sprinting past a security checkpoint and attempting to reach the doors to the ballroom where the president was gathered along with his most senior cabinet members and thousands of journalists.

NYPD used to have an Anti Crime squad the job of which was to remove guns from the streets. (Since disbanded on account of being “racist”.) these guys could spot armed miscreants simply by observing body language as the subject innocently walked down the street. Apparently this talent isn’t held by our “elite” law enforcement. A walking armory strolls up and no one the wiser.

Whether the gunman was part of a terrorist group or a lone nut, it was the height of foolishness to have the President, the Vice President, and the Cabinet in one place at the same time other than at the White House or a military base. Whoever came up with this idea should have his or her head examined.

My bet is race had nothing to do with this shooter. The shooter is an unhinged leftist. In other words, political ideology was likely where the motive will be found.
That would work for me, especially after Trump and his DOJ decided to bring back firing squads for the method of execution recently.
