He died doing what he loved. Hunting reaches something deep in the human soul. When you are hunting, everything is clearer, sharper, you are more alive.
Humans were formed as hunters. He died while still able to hunt. Not such a bad way to go. Probably beats dying while under chemotherapy for cancer.

The hunters I know all have one hard and fast rule.

That depends on the context. African countries allow legal safaris to control the animal population and make a bit of money.
As long as the hunters obey the law, it’s all good.
It is the poachers that I have no sympathy for.

My sympathy meter is stuck on Zero. Yep. I also feel the same way when people want to 'test' themselves against Mother Nature. For example, climbing mountains when they shouldn't be. If you want 'nature', you just might find it...
