Members on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee are divided over whether President Donald Trump should pardon Jeffrey Epstein’s convicted co-conspirator Ghislaine Maxwell in exchange for her cooperation in the panel’s Epstein investigation, Chair James Comer said in an interview Wednesday.
Maxwell, who was deposed by the Oversight Committee as the sole convicted accomplice in the Epstein sex trafficking scheme, previously invoked her Fifth Amendment right in declining to answer the panel’s questions. Her lawyer has said that she would only speak if granted clemency — a power available solely to Trump, who has not ruled out the prospect of a pardon.
When asked whether he believed it was a favorable deal to issue a pardon in return for Maxwell’s testimony, Comer said, “A lot of people do.”
“My committee’s split on that,” he added, declining to name who on the panel supported granting a pardon. “I don’t speak for my committee.”
Comer himself wasn’t in favor.

Meanwhile, Ghislaine is makin’ small rocks out of big rocks for trafficking underage girls to no one in particular.
“Ghislaine is makin’ small rocks out of big rocks”
Far from it my friend.....far from it
She was as guilty as Epstein; she was the procurer.
Of course, why do they care, they can only advise Trump, pardons do not require senate approval or even initiation.
Lastly, while Trump could pardon her for fed crimes, some of her crimes happened in non federal juristictions.
For who? There is no client list, and there never was.
No, but if she gives up everybody involved then maybe, but the names have to be released immediately and in public.
She wants a pardon for telling a little bit of truth.
Can’t believe she’d live long enough to tell the whole truth if the powers that be thought for a second she would spill all the beans.
I’m still amazed this woman got convicted for procuring underage girls to men and we still don’t know WHAT men. Talk about a cover up.
Give her clemency. Get her testimony and finish this.
She doesn’t deserve a pardon, for what, for going in front of the committee and telling the “Truth” please, I trust her as much as I trust the IRGC
She was found guilty of trafficking women for Epstein.
The women MAY have been paid to have sex with other men but she wasn’t found guilty of that and none of the women involved seem to care enough to come forward
For Epstein, that’s who.
We know some of the women involved…they name names now if they want and they don’t need a pardon from the president to do so
‘but’ ‘maybe’
After all these years and all the file releases, isn’t this beating a dead horse? I know that the girl Epstein pimped out to Prince Andrew was underage, but the rest of the women Epstein pimped out to Bill Gates, Deepak Chopra, Alan Dershowitz, etc. were all apparently adults. If there were underage teens or children involved, I still haven’t heard about it.
Was she even under the age of consent in England (I think that’s where she met Prince Andrew).
It’s not their decision.
Epstein’s once young gals can go to the police and file a complaint.
Worry about runaways in NYC now and in the future.
She’s in one of the cushiest nicest low security federal correctional facilities there is despite it being entirely against the guidelines
It’s disgusting and those who think this is a waste of time or it should just be dropped have to be of dubious or worse moral character.
