Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi said Friday that the Strait of Hormuz is open through Iran's "coordinated route."
President Donald Trump appeared to respond on Truth Social, writing, "IRAN HAS JUST ANNOUNCED THAT THE STRAIT OF IRAN IS FULLY OPEN AND READY FOR FULL PASSAGE. THANK YOU!"
"THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ IS COMPLETELY OPEN AND READY FOR BUSINESS AND FULL PASSAGE, BUT THE NAVAL BLOCKADE WILL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT AS IT PERTAINS TO IRAN, ONLY, UNTIL SUCH TIME AS OUR TRANSACTION WITH IRAN IS 100% COMPLETE. THIS PROCESS SHOULD GO VERY QUICKLY IN THAT MOST OF THE POINTS ARE ALREADY NEGOTIATED," he added.

Again, in June 2022 gas price was $4.68 in Central Texas. Now it is $3.77.
Overnight the cost of crude dropped $15 per bbl. Be patient.

I think it’s clear - the whole “closed by mines” was just bluster, you don’t “open, close, open, close, etc.” when you have the whole area mined, especially if you also claim to be unsure of exactly where.
It was an empty threat, one Trump called their bluff on - and won. Now he’s in complete control of Iran’s oil, import/export ability, etc. - they can do nothing.
The inability for the IRGC to pay personnel will fracture them. We’re seeing increased attacks on them by the people. The $20B will be for the Iranian people, once we have their Uranium, and see the regime falling apart (at least). They’re just restart everyone otherwise. They’re in a fight for survival at this point, anything is negotiable today.
My issue with gasoline prices is that if there is a sudden rise in crude prices, the pump price goes up that afternoon. And yet, it takes months to come down. It just looks like price gouging to me, one way or the other.
Maybe through trade deals but nothing like Obama flying in cash with no conditions.

We had started a secondary route which would not pass “the Island”. I would guess this is the normal route that ships would take...which would be the northern, original route.

Several dozen ships that were stuck in the gulf are headed for the strait, and many dozens more will follow. Iranian linked ships will no doubt try to mix in with the rush. Our sailors enforcing the blockade are gonna be busy.
