Eric Swalwell donors footed $500K in hotel bills, including rooms where alleged rapes happened

Accused sexual abuser Eric Swalwell spent a whopping $500K of donor cash inside luxury hotels — including the rooms where he allegedly raped two women — according to campaign financial records reviewed by The California Post.

The disgraced politician racked up close to $36,500 in hotel expenses over the last 12 months — billing 70 different charges in the US and Mexico, according to the records.

Swalwell’s hotels of choice included the Intercontinental Mexico City, where he spent $4,300 meeting with deported resident Miguel Hildago; Hotel ZIggy in West Hollywood, the Roosevelt Hollywood, the exclusive Ned Nomad in New York City, and the 1 Hotel in Brooklyn.

The nearly $500,000 in expenses were all charged during Swalwell’s time in Congress, his term started in 2013.

The California Post can also reveal Swalwell’s alleged troubling activities are now under investigation by the US Department of Justice.

The Democratic ex-congressman charged his congressional campaign for a hotel room at the Montrose West Hollywood on July 18, 2018, which aligns with the date and location of an alleged rape incident reported Tuesday to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department by Lonna Drewes.

All for the first amendment and everything, but some comments are best withheld.

Not something I want to visualize.

I don’t know if he’s guilty but I don’t really like this “believe all woman” stuff. This could all just be nonsense in order to ensure the RATS win the governorship. Not a shred of evidence has been produced. Just a lot of media coverage. I’m not a fan of this jerk but I find it hard to create this type of culture just to get this guy. Even if he is guilty, does no one have a problem with Democrats getting the votes they need by share bribery and blackmail in Congress?

Swalwell would stay at the Rose Hotel in Pleasanton, CA, when he was back "home." That hotel charges $300+ per night when he could have been living in his "home" just a few miles away.

BTW, the Rose Hotel was built by John Madden as an investment partner in the property.

“$100/night”

…I’m sure you meant $1000.

More like who did Gallego sexually assault and when did he do it? Oh and who else did it with him?

Why aren’t they asking Swalwell who the other two guys are in the room?

Why not?

When you are voting for Democrats, you are voting to rape middle America. Swalwell just cut out the middle man and made it more efficient.

Maybe it's a guy thing.

I can't imagine my genitals running the show, but apparently for some people it does.

For some people of both sexes, there is a period from teens to late 20s, when that is the case. Looking back on my life, I'd have to say I was one to some extent until I turned 30.

Coming of age in the 1960s had something to do with it, too.

If it could be proven they “knew or should have known” that rapes would happen, they could be sued if not criminally charged.

The three worst sins; lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and secular pride. Swalwell lives all three.
