Unfortunately, Irish nationalism has tended hard-left since the Jacobinical United Irishmen. There is plenty of Irish Republican content online, and it is hard Communist. The idea that Irish nationalists are hard core Catholics is simply not true, and probably hasn't been since Wolfe Tone.

Maybe Irish nationalists should consider monarchism instead of republicanism (European republicanism is traditionally atheistic and radical).
