Anyone know what’s become of Freeper Kiryandil? Last post was sometime in January.

It was brutal, coming as it did at the beginning of the 1Q 2026 FReepathon.

FR is indeed the most well organized, user friendly site on the internet.

It’s so easy to follow a conversation and look at replies, etc.

I’ve enjoyed my time here, suffered some conflicts as well, and made a few good FRiends, who I will see in glory should FR shutter.

I’ve been here sinxw 2002 and was never tempted to opus, sure there are some odd or even offensive weirdos here, but so what. I ignore them. I come here for news and adding my own links etc, not for wanting people to like me. 😁

One FReeper I worry about is Swordmaker. He ran the Apple/Mac Ping List and with ShadowAce inspired me to start the Windows Ping List many years ago. But the personal abuse he took on account of Apple was brutal and unrelenting, and I know it took a toll on his happiness in doing the ping list; ultimately the pings faded away and no one has picked up the list since.

I thought I recalled reading something about his wife. I remember it was some sort of serious issue or tragedy.

I argued with him occasionally, but got along with him fine most of the time.

I think she passed away, but I’m not sure and I don’t recall the circumstances.
