Bruce Springsteen, 76 years young, last week kicked off his new tour with a now-old ritual: histrionically denouncing President Donald Trump — the one thing all right-thinking people can agree on, right?
“We are now, to many, America the reckless, unpredictable, predatory rogue nation. That is this administration’s and this president’s legacy,” lectured The Boss.
Yet the Baby Boomer’s bluster brings up a crucial question for the entire left, from establishment Democrats to the wokest socialists: After Trump, what?
For now, the prez is their entire raison d’etre.
Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s every media appearance centers on painting Trump as a would-be dictator — because he wants to expel illegal migrants, because he favors voter ID, because he wants to pay TSA agents.
Having an agenda Dems dislike is so, so authoritarian.
Calif. Gov. Gavin Newsom, for now the frontrunner in the ’28 Dem primaries, endlessly preens from his pulpit about Orange Man Bad — even as he mounts a (deeply embarrassing) social-media strategy premised on imitating Trump’s voice and tone.
That same focus persists down the line: Every real White House contender, every major Democrat in Congress, every high-visibility prog politico acts as if Trump will be with us forever.
Why?
Because on every front that matters, Dems have nothing else.

I don’t know if it’s Biblical, but as the saying goes: If you let it, hate will consume and destroy you. It appears Trump’s persona in itself is a secret weapon against his enemies.

You were predicting the same kind of stuff for 2024. Dire predictions of total GOP collapse. You were more than just a little off.
You may or may not be wrong this time. Your predictions are at times correct and at times are wrong. You only cite the times you are correct as though that means you can’t be wrong this time. That makes as much sense as someone else citing the times you were wrong as proof you will definitely be wrong this time.
It may be more accurate to say, that is all they wish to show. They do have a number of capable allies that are glad to, as near as possible, work quietly behind the scenes,
That is to say, allies such as the American Left actively supported by the major communist nations around the globe, and a pervasive "death to the Great Satan" religion that is firmly ensconced within our country and hiding behind our lst Amendment.
Add to that a world class MSM bent on misinforming and confusing the voting public while eager to publish whatever anti-MAGA perspectives can be found.
So long as "they" focus our efforts on protecting our "front man", the more easily their broader effort can continue to make advances.

Just show pictures of California homeless living dying and crapping in the street, all the smash & grabs in the stores, all the forest fires caused by his supporters at PG&E, the empty buildings, the price of gas in California, and nobody will touch Himbo Newsom.
