Here's a quick recap if you're just joining us:
On Saturday, two Army Apache attack helicopters went to Kid Rock's house (The Southern White House) during a training exercise near Nashville. They reportedly "buzzed" No Kings protesters right before this, with salty old libs saying they flew low over the protest deliberately.
Shortly after this, the Army said the air crew had been suspended for their actions and an investigation had been opened.

I understand this kind of stuff happens “all the time.” (Meaning, it happens but usually not so visibly.)
I would imagine when it generates “attention” the pilots would be told that this stuff is not permitted and pay better attention.
I would also imagine that if it continued to happen from that crew...more active discipline would occur.
Often times its the appearance of recklessness that will get you in trouble.
I am sure I have gotten some of this wrong.
Was it harmless? Yes. But its how it looks that could be a problem.
The NAS in my town is a Master Jet Base.
F-18s and P-8 Orions are common.
Karen can suck it
This retired Army Officer agrees with you. Considering the recent helicopter crash in DC, flying outside their approved airspace is very serious in my mind. While I was in the 101st and know the rambunctious attitude of young pilots, that has to be channeled into what is required by regulations formulated over many years of experience. I appreciate Kid Rock’s love of the military and Trump but this stunt was unsatisfactory. I think maybe an Art 15 for the pilots that went into the COs desk drawer just as a wake up call.
I remember when the military was part of the terrible film “Firebirds” about severl Apache Helicopters sent to fight drug lords in South America.
A anti tank helicopter to fight drug lords sounded dumb and the movie pegged the stupid meter.
