I used to have my HTML cheat codes on my desktop of my old computer. I pretty much do everything by phone now. With my eyeballs being so much older, I’m just not able to use this website like I used to.

I’ve been saddened to see so many longtime high quality members run off FR by the usual vicious self-appointed hall monitors and the Q Brigade.
It's a combination of factors. The old beat down cliques who enjoy banning anyone who disagrees with them, like the viking bitties. Big fun huh? Like those who post their family recipes on big new stories, the evangullible cliques, and putting biased moderators in charge who have zero business being in that role. And a lot of the party hacks who supported open border globalist like Bush are still here. Not to mention the site was never updated and is stuck in the late 90s. And I suspect one site function was disable intentionally. It's a multitude of issues.
Prayers for you to hang around for many years to come!
However, bottom line, what happens to Free Republic if the quarterly fundraisers are not met? Does it fold up, disband, go offline?
I've hesitated asking this question because I don't want to appear to be a "debbie downer" but FR has become a large part of my life and I go here for news before I go anywhere else.
If it was to go offline, what will we all do? Where will we go? I'm hoping there's light at the end of the tunnel, but I dunno.

What you can't see with that list is the viewers who don't comment. Still, the vitality of the site is dependent on how many new FR names come in each year and keep coming back.
I go here first too every morning, have been for over 20 years.
I think FR had the internet to itself, more or less, when it started. Now we are one voice in the big crowd.
And we all have gotten older I’m afraid.

He was great at arguing the case for booting out illegals. And maybe for repealing Hart Celler as well. Which of course is why the howlin mob would have put a bullseye on his back.
Although howlin’s mob weren’t the only enforcers of Politically Correct Border Thought.
I can remember a few others, including the ones who routinely posted SPLC material as backup for their hobby of condemning the Xenophobes, Racists, and Nativists who wanted the border closed and the illegals booted.
My guess is that Trump must have lurked here. And he got a good look at the divide between what grassroots America wants, versus what the Establishment GOP and ‘Conservatism, Inc’ thinks they deserve to get. And he cast his lot with us.
I lurked FR for a good twenty years before I created an account, and I kept coming back specifically to see what HG and Laz were posting, haha.
