What’s scarey about this is that other states (who I thought would know better) seem to be pushing this “green energy” crap that is pretty much proveable by now..doesn’t work. It only costs all of us more money, even non-taxpayers. Hopefully, folks in each states will either...!. not have this issue come up. or 2. At least have the chance to vote on it. I believe our president is working towards the best scenario.

Here in NH we are trying to separate us from the ISO in MA, RI & CT.
Meaning, these southern New England states have decided they do not want to build any new power generation plants.
They only want to build wind farms out in the water and solar farms in all the open fields.

We have the Seabrook nuclear plant. All the expended fuel rods are being stored there. We need to build a second generation plant right next door to use these stored fuel roads to generate electricity. We also have enough trash, wood waste, hydro power and natural gas imports to run our state for the next fifty years IF we build another reactor.

Our electricity rates would go down IF we separate from the southern three NE states.
Maine and VT are not the problem. Plus Maine just built a power line bringing electricity from Quebec hydro south.
VT does not have enough power needs to worry about.

Like New Mexico which is moving forward with renewables while under their feet there are many years of recoverable supplies of oil and gas (NM is #2 in domestic O&G production behind TX).

What is unbelievable is that there is an electrical energy shortage to produce the O&G and it is only getting worse. With windmills and solar panels being built all over the landscape, NM sources continue to fall behind. Due to net zero by 2050 rules, Xcel energy is required to build natural gas plants across the border in Texas to supply the industry, but it will still not be enough. The climate activists in Santa Fe know that but likely consider any method to slow burning of fossil fuels a win in removing O&G extraction from the landscape.
