Here in NH we are trying to separate us from the ISO in MA, RI & CT.
Meaning, these southern New England states have decided they do not want to build any new power generation plants.
They only want to build wind farms out in the water and solar farms in all the open fields.
We have the Seabrook nuclear plant. All the expended fuel rods are being stored there. We need to build a second generation plant right next door to use these stored fuel roads to generate electricity. We also have enough trash, wood waste, hydro power and natural gas imports to run our state for the next fifty years IF we build another reactor.
Our electricity rates would go down IF we separate from the southern three NE states.
Maine and VT are not the problem. Plus Maine just built a power line bringing electricity from Quebec hydro south.
VT does not have enough power needs to worry about.
Many years ago eco zealots in Ct closed coal fired plants known as the “sooty six” The big lie at the time was that the coal fired plants caused asthma. Not only that but eco zealots blocked natural gas pipelines and power plants. I warned them that electric costs would sky rocket. Did they listen? Noooooo. Let them shiver and freeze in the dark.

We, as a nation, have listened and catered to these fools long enough. They don’t have the intelligence to come in out of the rain; yet, they want ALL the conveniences of a modern society...Screw these moronic basstids.
